Orthopedic Acupuncture & Dry Needling

Initial Assessment & Acupuncture Session $125
Follow-Up Acupuncture Session $90

Orthopedic Acupuncture combines modern Neuro-Functional approaches with traditional Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) foundations. Commonly referred to as Sports Medicine Acupuncture, this treatment has been popularized by elite professional athletes to treat injuries, speed up recovery, and optimize athletic performance. The treatment may include motor point acupuncture (a neurological “reset” button on an injured muscle), dry needling (trigger point release), and electro-stimulation along with a traditional balancing acupuncture treatment. Orthopedic Acupuncture excels in the effective treatment of pain: low back pain and sciatica, neck & shoulder pain, arthritis pain, acute and chronic injuries, rotator cuff pain, ankle sprains, post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, knee pain, hip pain, foot and heel pain, nerve entrapments, thumb pain, wrist & elbow pain, and the treatment of migraine headaches.

Every individual is unique, and so are their health challenges. We take the time to understand your health history, current symptoms, and healing goals. Based on this comprehensive assessment, we create a personalized treatment plan tailored specifically to you. This customized approach ensures that each session is optimized for your particular needs, whether you are seeking relief from chronic pain, stress reduction, improved digestion, or hormone regulation.

Cupping & IASTM/Gua Sha

Included in Acupuncture session

At Gentle Healer Acupuncture, we incorporate cupping and IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Manipulation) into our holistic Orthopedic treatment plans. Cupping is an ancient therapy  that involves placing special cups on the skin to create suction. This practice is rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine and is used to enhance circulation, alleviate pain, and promote healing. Gua Sha (the ancient name for IASTM) is another therapy rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine that involves scraping the skin with a smooth-edged tool to stimulate microcirculation of the soft tissue, which increases blood flow,  improves circulation and promotes healing. This technique is known for its ability to alleviate pain and reduce inflammation.
